3. How We Use Your Information

- Reinsurers: Where your risk is reinsured, limited data may be shared with reinsurance companies.
- Loss Adjusters & Assessors: In the event of a claim, to carry out assessments and investigations.
- Regulatory Authorities: The Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda (IRA) and other government bodies as required by law.
- Service Providers: Trusted third parties who assist us in operating our business (e.g., IT systems, cloud storage, communications), bound by confidentiality agreements.
- Professional Advisers: Lawyers, accountants, and auditors where necessary and subject to professional confidentiality obligations.
All third parties are required to handle your information securely and in accordance with applicable data protection obligations.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and to comply with our legal obligations. Insurance-related records are typically retained for a minimum of seven (7) years following the end of the policy period or the resolution of any related claim, in line with Ugandan regulatory requirements. Website analytics data is retained for up to twenty-six (26) months. After retention periods expire, data is securely deleted or anonymised.
